Friendly advice

In general terms, taxi is the safest mean of transportation at Tehran Airport.

Make sure the driver has in mind the fare to your destination and how to get there.

Scams

Beware of scams played by taxi drivers. Do not trust suspicious drivers nor people offering you rides without asking it previously.

Location

Taxi ranks are located immediately outside both terminals.

How to take a taxi?

Pre-paid taxis can be hired from the taxi desk located in Arrivals. After paying your trip, you will have to give the ticket to the driver.

On the other hand, on regular taxis you can bargain the final price with the driver. Bear in mind that prices are not asked in Rials, they are expressed in Tomen (1 Tomen = 10 Rials).
